About Us


Mark Walker, MD

Mark Walker, MDDr. Walker was born in Detroit. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his Medical Degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine. After completing his OB/GYN residency at the Detroit Medical Center, he and his wife, Dr. Lori Zettell, traveled for a year. They then moved to Marshall in 1995 and started Mansion Street OB/GYN. Dr. Zettell retired in 2002 to stay home to raise their 2 children, who are now grown and living in Ann Arbor. Dr. Bartlett joined the practice in 2002. Dr. Walker specializes in vaginal surgery. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, church activities and going on mission trips to South Africa.

Neysa Bartlett, DO

Neysa Bartlett, DODr. Bartlett received her undergraduate degree from University of Michigan-Dearborn with a major in biology and minor in psychology and her Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI. She remained on staff at Botsford as a physician and resident trainer. During that period of time she became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She also maintains her certification as a clinical assistant professor in the department of Osteopathic surgical specialties at Michigan State. Seeking a location that allowed her to expand her medical abilities she relocated with her three children and husband to Marshall, MI in 2002. Dr. Bartlett joined Dr. Walker in maintaining and building Mansion Street Women’s Health into a premier practice dealing with a variety of women’s issues. Dr. Bartlett takes care of a wide range of obstetrical and gynecologic problems as well as preventative medicine. Dr. Bartlett has also completed extra training in medical weight loss and continues to stay current in this area. She has been running a weight loss program since 2008, which is now named Mansion Street Medical Weight Loss. Most recently, Dr Bartlett obtained her board certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine in March 2016. She personally consults with and advises numerous female and male patients on various methods of weight reduction and maintenance.

Karissa Hawley, CNM

Karissa Hawley, CNMKarissa Hawley, CNM is originally a native of Kalamazoo. She worked as a nurse for six years, the last three of which were at Oaklawn Hospital in the Emergency Department. In 2010, she and her husband moved to Battle Creek and had their first child. Returning to school to finish her BSN at Western Michigan University, she fell in love with women's health during a clinical rotation and decided to pursue her graduate degree in midwifery. In May 2015, she graduated from the University of Michigan and received the Bonnie Kaye Mallory-Foremand award for clinical excellence. Shortly thereafter, she joined Mansion Street Women's Health and became the first Certified Nurse-Midwife to practice in Marshall. Karissa not only provides care during pregnancy, but also sees women for annual exams, provides surgical assists, and manages contraception and other GYN-related concerns. She and her husband, Brad, have three children and one giant Great Dane. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and knitting.

Ashley Espejo, CNM

Ashley Espejo, CNMAshley Espejo has degrees in Zoology and Nursing from the University of Florida where she learned to love college football and working with the underserved population. While working on her Masters in Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ashley worked with women refugees from different countries. Working with this population of women became a passion for her. This brought her to spend time in Belize caring for women and children.

Ashley believes that all women should be empowered to take charge of their healthcare experience and that all women should have access to quality, nonjudgemental healthcare.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys a good book, exploring Michigan, and experimenting in the kitchen.

Alexandrea Garbus, MSN, CNM

Alexandrea Garbus, MSN, CNMLexi grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. She spent the last seven years in Ann Arbor earning her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing and Midwifery from the University of Michigan. While in school Lexi worked as a RN at the University of Michigan Health System. She has a passion for promoting physiologic birth in the hospital. Lext has a special interest in reproductive justice, health care policy, education, VBAC, and complementary/alternative therapies in pregnancy and labor. She currently serves as a Member at Large for the board of the Michigan affiliate of the American College of Nurse Midwives. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and two cats, traveling, listeneing to all genres of music, and binge watching TV shows.

Lexi’s nurse is Amanda, M.A. at 269.781.1183, ext 4
